BSN-FP4012 Nursing Leadership and Management
In this course, learners examine theoretical concepts of leadership and management for the professional nurse, particularly those that are associated with health care finance, human resources, and materials allocation. Learners build and apply a working knowledge of evidence-based best practices and behaviors that support effective nursing leadership in a variety of health care settings and analyze strategies for developing effective skills in coordination, delegation, collaboration, conflict management, goal setting, performance improvement, and lifelong learning. Throughout the course, learners also integrate ethical interpersonal communication skills necessary for positive interdisciplinary working relationships. For BSN, FlexPath option learners only.
