HUM1200 Philosophy of Work
This course emphasizes the nature, history, and ethics of work. Students investigate different conceptions of the meaning of work by analyzing various kinds of labor; the ways work has changed over the course of history; and the ways work relates to meaning, significance, and dignity in human life. Students examine the views and practices of work in different cultures. Students also develop a philosophy of work.
