IT-FPX4157 Networking Architectures
Students develop a foundational understanding of how computer networks interconnect. Through guided modules and hands-on activities in Cisco Networking Academy using Cisco Packet Tracer, students explore the components, media, and protocols that support local and wide area networks. Topics include wireless and mobile networking, IPv4 and IPv6 addressing, dynamic addressing with DHCP, and routing between networks. Students gain practical experience configuring home and enterprise-level networks, applying communication standards, and using troubleshooting tools to diagnose and resolve connectivity issues. Students relate networking concepts to real-world applications and strengthen the skills needed to design, manage, and maintain reliable networked systems.
Students who have received credit for IT-FP4150 and IT-FP4155 may not take IT-FPX4157.
