MFT5604 Family Law and Ethics
In this course, students analyze divorce; arbitration and mitigation; blended families; children's issues, including neglect, abuse, truancy, foster care, and adoption; emancipation of minors; and the juvenile justice system. Students examine the ethical codes of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) and complete a final project that demonstrates competence in the areas of family law and ethics.
