PSY-R8200 The Helping Relationship and Techniques in Clinical Psychology

In this residency, students analyze the therapeutic relationship and methods of building trust and rapport with clients through coursework and a face-to-face residency. During the face-to-face residency, students engage in case discussions, role-plays, and group exercises to examine skills associated with relationship building and practice establishing ongoing working alliances with clients. Students also assess individual differences and ethical principles as they relate to the foundational components of an effective clinical interview. Cannot be fulfilled by transfer.
