SOC2400 Health and Illness in Social Context

Students apply a sociological perspective to gain an understanding of health, illness, health care delivery, and health care policy. Students analyze the social determinants of health; the meaning and experience of illness; and key issues surrounding bioethics, health care technologies, and environmental and public health. Students also compare different societal approaches to health, illness, and health care systems.
