SWK3216 Planning and Social Policy in Human

Students analyze the ways in which contemporary social policies in the United States impact the role of generalist social work practitioners in implementing, planning, leading, and evaluating said policies. Throughout the course, students gain an understanding of the origins, process, and politics associated with these polices. Students identify the ways in which generalist practice values, best practice standards, and social polices intended to advance human rights and create actionable approaches to contemporary social work. For BSW students only. Cannot be fulfilled by transfer or credit for prior learning.
