HIS1150 U.S. History: How the Past Informs the Present
Students investigate key events in U.S. history and connect these events to current social, political, and economic issues. Students review historical resources to decide what information is credible and draw their own conclusions about the causes and consequences of historical events. Further, students develop a toolkit of skills to help them apply their knowledge of the past to inform perspectives and decisions that affect the future of American society.
