IT3249 Principles of Software Architecture
Students analyze the fundamentals of software architecture and the architectural thinking needed to design modern applications. Students investigate core architectural styles, including microservices, layered, event-driven, and pipeline. Students also evaluate trade-offs between architectural styles, practice modeling systems, identify architectural characteristics, and analyze risk. Additionally, students develop skills to document their design decisions and communicate architectural choices clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Students who have received credit for IT3301 and IT3345 may not take IT3249.
