SWK2002 Introduction to Social Work and Social Welfare

Students develop the knowledge, skills, and values necessary for effective, ethical, and culturally responsive practice across varied settings. Students analyze and apply the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) Code of Ethics, engage in self-reflection, and develop professional competencies aligned with the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards (EPAS). Through webinars, case studies, discussions, and exploration of professional worldview, students identify how ethical principles, human rights, and culturally responsive engagement shape social work practice with individuals, families, groups, organizations, and communities.
