PSYC1540 The Psychology of Human Differences and Society

Learners identify basic concepts of studying  human differences as influenced by society within the scientific study of human thoughts and behavior. Learners gain an understanding of social differences as well as review tools for thinking about human functioning within a psychological framework. Learners examine psychological theories and research related to an array of human differences while exploring the effects of social norms on expectations for individual behavior. Learners further review methods of coping with social stigma. Learners who have received credit for PSYC3540 may not take PSYC1540.
