PSYC4325 Stress, Trauma, and Wellness
Learners engage in a comprehensive exploration of the field of stress, trauma, and wellness. Learners examine the nature of stress and trauma (from global pandemics, to war, to personal victimization, to everyday job-related stressors), theories of stress and trauma, how stress and trauma impact individuals and communities, the treatment of stress and trauma related disorders, and the areas of secondary and tertiary victimization. Learners gain an understanding of coping strategies, relaxation techniques, and other tools for building resiliency and wellness in ourselves and our communities.
