Students develop the skills and knowledge necessary to manage complex health conditions in adult patients in this advanced course. Students build on their understanding of foundational nursing concepts and focus on the application of advanced clinical skills and critical thinking in varied healthcare settings. Integrating the American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN)’s four spheres of care (Disease Prevention/Promotion of Health and Wellbeing, Chronic Disease Care, Regenerative or Restorative Care, and Hospice/Palliative/Supportive Care) ensures a comprehensive approach to nursing education. Students develop competencies in preventive health, manage chronic conditions, support recovery and rehabilitation, and provide compassionate end-of-life care, preparing them to excel in various healthcare environments.
