HMSV8320 Effective Negotiation and Mediation Skills for Human Services Leaders
Students gain an understanding of communication strategies for human service leaders. Students develop and apply a working knowledge of evidence-based best practices and behaviors for relationship-building, advocacy, negotiation and conflict management in a variety of human services settings. Throughout the course, students apply strategies in negotiation, conflict management, and mediation and integrate ethical interpersonal communication skills necessary for positive multidisciplinary working relationships with various populations.
